Can someone please explain to me how it is possible that it is now August? I am totally freaking out that the summer has just flown by and I have not yet been to the beach! Except for the rainy week in the Hamptons, but that does not count.
Jenna’s best friend, Dada, is visiting us from Germany this week. They became best friends in Kindergarten and then her family moved back to Hamburg. I have still not forgiven them! Jenna still considers Dada her best friend even though they have not lived in the same town for the last 2 years. Seeing them together is so bittersweet for me. They just picked up right where they left off, no awkwardness or shyness or anything! They are like soul sisters. Maybe they had a past life together or something. Anyway it makes me sad because those incredibly close connections we form with certain people are so rare in life, and I wish Jenna could be with her friend every day.
Ok, on a totally separate note, my friend just published a book and if you love books the way I do, you really should read it. Her name is Diana Loevy and the book is called The Book Club Companion.
