Chillin in FLA

April 14, 2007 8:58 PM

Hello everyone, I am blogging from Florida this week... you may hear more from me than you ever wanted to because they are predicting thunderstorms!!! Total bummer for me and the kids, but could be good for the blog.
Those of you who know me well know that flying is basically the thing I hate most in the whole world... to the extent that, in the past, I actually avoided it whenever possible. Until now. Because now, Jamie is nearly 4, and Andrew is 11, and we have a lot of catching up to do in the travel department! I decided to go on this trip to Florida as a "starter trip", the one that would prepare me for future trips. The flight is only 2 hours from NY so piece of cake, right?
I'll tell you right now what made this trip super-easy: deep belly breathing and other relaxation techniques; ativan which is a very nice version of valium; and my ipod, with music blaring (I was listening to the original cast recording of the broadway musical "Rent" if you must know; yes I am a sucker for show tunes). Also, noise-reducing headphones that drown out all the noise and make you forget you are on a large tube hurtling through the atmoshere at ungodly speeds. Oh, plus the 2 glasses of wine those nice flight attentands brought me. Wheee! By the end of the flight I was actually having fun! (Clearly I am a total lightweight).
So, now we are in Amelia Island, at a gorgeous hotel, right on the water. My anxieties are long gone and I am so psyched for an amazing vacation with my wonderful family. stay tuned for more.

Why is the Mom Agenda and My Agenda so overpriced. Women earn about 70% of what men earn. A lot of moms are stay at home moms, even student moms so the price is outrageous. Keep the price in line with Quo Vadis, Blueline and Brownline products.

Sorry you feel that way. Clearly I disagree! There is a lot packed in the momAgenda and myAgenda, and you get so much more for your money that you do from any of the other brands you mention. Not to mention, none of those others give you the greatest benefit of all, the ability to manage up to 5 schedules in our planner!
If you don't want to spend $40, why not get a refill for under $20. It has all the same features as the other momAgenda planners.
