My $.02

April 10, 2007 10:30 AM

Hi! Thanks for humoring me! I'll share my $.02 for what it is worth....
Like I said --totally minor, but I also mentioned that I am a calendar-a-holic!!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you offer the month-at-a-glance and the weekly. Your weekly layout, like everyone else...is what has totally sold me on the mom agenda (love it). But, have you ever noticed that your month-at-a-glance runs Sunday-Saturday, while your week at a glance runs Monday-Sunday?

If you're a visual person (which I am)... and if I look at my month-at-a-glance... I have to remind myself regularly that those last two columns are Friday/Saturday (not the full weekend -i.e. NOT Sat/Sunday ) ...but the rest of my work in the calendar is in the week-view... where the last two columns are for the weekend (Sat/Sun). I'm constantly having to switch between two mental layouts.

I can get used to ...and use either format... (preferably with Sat/Sun together at the end of the week-view). It would be a real bonus if the calendars (month at a glance ...and the week view) were the same (consistent).

Other minor thing --
It would be incredibly helpful ...and time saving ... if there were tabs to mark off each month. Perhaps putting the month view with the week views... Then having quick and easy access tabs. I find that I spend a lot of time flipping pages ..trying to find the correct month/week/day for something.

And because we are 5 very busy souls..... I use the mom agenda for EVERYTHING!!! Right down to making mental notes about special clothes or dress the boys have for school or outings, etc.... Doggie's meds, etc... Uh... I find I'm filling one day very, very quickly! Any chance you might come out with the same layout but with a little more room to it?

Anyway...I LOVE LOVE LOVE it... right down to listing dinners for each day. Before the mom agenda, I was a sticky-note queen! I would list our weekly meals on a sticky note and then try get all the grocery shopping done ...all the while praying that the sticky note didn't get lost ;-). Now, not only can I keep track of the week...but I can look back ....to see what I'm serving week to week. Wow, who knew that I served the kids chicken nuggets and macncheese EVERY tuesday? Never put that together before ;-) Ha ha ha. Anyway, at least now, I can sort of attempt a wider variety. Somehow when it is in black and white.... it's a little more real ;-)

Thanks for reading!! ... hope the thoughts are interesting to you.

Bests,
J

First of all, THANK YOU for all your kind words about the momAgenda day planner. We so appreciate hearing from happy customers!
ok, now I will try to address all these questions...
I see what you mean regarding the weekly vs the monthly starting on different days of the week. This is something that has been brought up before. The reason is that a monthly calendar traditionally starts on a sunday. But when we set up the weekly layout, I felt very strongly that Monday is the first day of the new week. So it's all my fault! We will review this issue for next year.
Regarding tabs, we are working on something right now that will be very helpful to you in terms of marking pages. I can't tell you what it is (otherwise our competitors will copy us) but I can tell you it should be available later this summer.
Glad to hear you are using your momAgenda for everything -- I do too! I have four kids, a dog and a husband, so mine fills up quickly as well. We do not have any plans to make the book larger, however... simply because so many people already complain to us that the book is too big! Maybe someday though, if we get enough requests:-)
Thank you so much for your comments... we love hearing them and we do discuss our customers comments when planning new products and revisions to old products... so keep your comments coming!
best regards,
Nina

This is my 2nd year using Mom's Agenda and I just love it! I have 3 boys with crazy schedules and the Mom's Agenda always keeps me on track. My biggest wish is that it was bigger w/ more room to write (perhaps 8x11 size??)! I have all of my girlfriends hooked and ordering your calendar. I'm crossing my fingers that a bigger version comes out next year. Thanks SO much for your awesome calendar for us busy moms! (& I LOVE the chocolate brown!!)

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the momagenda portfolio planner. I was a little hesitant to order it since I was burned (that's how it feels) by one of your competitors also a "mom planner" about the same price. Anyway I was very upset when I received it not very useful , I went ahead and purchased your momagenda portfolio planner and WOW, I love it. Everything the weekly view the mom essential pamphlet everything.

Just wanted to agree with the previous two entries I would love to see a bigger portfolio planner 8 x 11 big enough to put paper I would like to carry in the planner without folding it.

Thank you fo a wonderful product,

Irma

Hi I just wanted to comment again on your portfolio planner. Just one little complaint, why do you do the mom essentials seperately than the calendar part it seems to me it would be much easier to use if those pages were a part of the calendar pages. It is a little akward to use but even with that I still love my planner.

Oh and what happened to the tabs? I have been checking your website almost daily for them.

Thank you for taking the time and reading my comments

HI! I've been using the Mom Agenda for about a month now and really like it. I recently tried to go electronic but I've got to have my calendar in front of me. A few suggestions.... I use both the month at a view and week at a view and think it would be more functional if the month at a view was at the beginning of the correlating week at a view. Like so many others, I think tabs would be soooo helpful. My biggest suggestion would be to request a ring binder version instead of or in addition to the spiral bound. This would allow me to incorporate other items that are important that I use on a daily basis. I like the size and can't imagine it any larger... maybe smaller?

Thanks for allowing me to give my input.

I agree with Jill a ring binder version would be nice. And a larger one than the portfolio. I have a special needs daughter and I constantly have to take a folder of some kind with me to her appointments, (past reports etc.). And lately I have been thinking of getting a ring binder planner the big ones that way I don't have to carry my agenda and the folder. Anyway just a thought, I would miss the your agenda I have gotten used to the format and it is wonderful.

Thank you

First I want to reiterate that I absolutely LOVE my momagenda and have sold it to my friends who don't even have children. I also want to apologize that I haven't had the time to read through your entire blog so my 2 cents might have already been addressed. Have you ever thought to add a pen holder? Also, can you add a place for husband (maybe as small as the dinner row). I have been using one of the kids spaces for him but there are times that I need to add his schedule. Lastly, can you add a pocket to keep receipts, permission slips, cards, coupons, etc.? These are just a few things that friends and I have discussed that would make this even more perfect! Thanks for letting me share.
