Salary.com apparently has released a study that reveals that the work that a typical SAHM does (cooking, cleaning, amateur shrink, etc) is worth about $138,095 in annual salary…give me a break! Having been a stay-at-home mom in my life, I can honestly say that in terms of the hours put in, the sheer variety of tasks performed, and the emotional roller coaster of highs and lows, no dollar amount could ever match the amount of work put in.
I am not going to say something cheesy, like “the payment is pure love,” but seriously, doing that job is its own reward.
