The Countdown Begins

Exactly 8 days from now, our schools will be back in session, and I am determined to be ready this time. Yesterday, I went through ALL the paperwork -- and with 4 kids, there is a lot of it -- and separated everything into piles. There was a garbage pile (this one was the biggest), a pile of papers to drop off at the doctors office, a pile of papers for me to fill out and mail, and another pile of papers to file in my Kitchen Folio.
The worst task on my list is those dreaded emergency cards. Why oh why does each kid have three emergency cards? Why can they not reuse them from year to year? I will need to block out at least one to two irreplaceable hours of my life to fill these cards out.
As for school supplies, my in-laws are taking the kids shopping so that is covered. Yay!
The last thing is school clothes and shoes. I am halfway there, actually more than halfway because Jamie has so many hand-me-downs, he won't need any new clothes. I do need to take Andrew shopping because he is starting middle school and I have a feeling that what he wears might actually be starting to matter to him (!).
