I don’t normally make product or site recommendations, and here I am doing it twice in a row — go figure.
Anyway, if you are like me, with a million photos on your computer and few actually making it off the computer and onto your mantle or bookcase or wherever, you will LOVE this new site.
The same people who created the gorgeous Pulp photo albums and memory boards have now launched a web site with a fabulous concept for busy moms like you (and me), called RealMemories.com. The site allows you to pick a favorite photo from your computer, upload it to the site, then create a custom frame of your choosing. You can preview what your photo will look like in the frame, and even preview it against a backdrop that matches the color of your walls! Plus, they will personalize the mat that goes in your frame. For example, for my photo from the beach last summer, I had them inscript “Nantucket 2007.”
I tried out this site recently and I have to tell you I was amazed at how easy it was to navigate — very intuitive. And when my framed photos arrived I was impressed with the quality of both the photograph and the frame, especially because the cost was so reasonable.
