Grocery shopping is seriously one of the banes of my existence. It just seems so mundane and boring, buying the same things every week. Then you get home and realize you forgot something you really needed. It happens to me all the time.
We have a new system that we've been trying out in our house that is actually working out really well. What I do is, I use one the "Grocery List" download from our site http://www.momagenda.com/blog/downloads.htm
For those of you who are not familiar with our downloads, they are preprinted pages you can use for your Kitchen Folio or just for your life. The Grocery List download is actually a preprinted grocery list with all the items already written in; instead of facing a blank page and thinking of things to write on it, all you have to do is check things off, so it really is a time-saver.
I print this out on Sunday and leave the grocery list on the kitchen counter where everyone can see it. Every time someone looks for something in the fridge or the pantry and does not find it, they check it off on the grocery list. Then, when it's time to do the shopping, the work is already done. How cool is that.
