For our 2008-2009 day planners, we made a change to our planner format that many people were not happy with. We interspersed the monthly layouts throughout the books, rather than placing them together at the front of the books as we had done in the past. Many of you have written in this year to let us know that you are not happy with this change. (Interestingly, we made this change due to customer demand–go figure.)
I want to let you know that we have gone to press with our new, 2009-2010 planners, and that we have gone back to the original format with these planners. So once again, all the monthly layouts will be grouped together at the front of the book.
I want to sincerely thank every one of you who emailed or called or posted on the blog regarding this issue. If it was not for you, there is no way we would have known that you were disappointed in the new format! So thanks to all of you.
And please keep letting us hear your opinions, because your feedback is absolutely critical to us.

Thank you! While I wasn’t a commenter originally about the month layouts, I wasn’t a fan of them being dispersed throughout th calendar year. Having them at the front makes them available for easy and quick access for a monthly check of appts, rather than having to search throughout the calendar pages. Thank you for addressing what many others felt were an issue! MomAgenda Rocks! (Owner of Kitchen Folio and Personal Folio)
I too wasn’t an original commentor on the dislike of the change but want to Thank You for bringing back the old design. As a working mother of 4 this planner is a life saver and having the full month calendars all together made it much easier to find and plan at a glance! I look forward every year to picking out a new color for my planner. I love MomAgenda and thank you keeping us posted on upcoming products! I feel like I am part of a special club when someone notices my planner and comments on it! MomAgenda is the best!!
Thank you! For me it is more difficult having the months interspersed throughout the year, but I am working with it.
I look forward to next years… can’t wait to see the colors either. Keep up the great work!!
As a new mom agenda user; my vote as a working mother is to have the week start on sunday and end on saturday which would match most payperiods.
I, too, vote for a Sunday on the left format. This would be a definite buy if that were the layout. Sorry you’ve already gone to press with the Monday-to-Sunday format.
For the record, I like the Monday – Sunday format, because on the weekend I can write my todo’s across the two days. I try to be more flexible on the weekend and this helps. If you had a bolded line between Friday and Saturday to separate the week from the weekend that would be great. Right now I am drawing a line with a highlighter to separate them.
We are sticking with the Monday-Sunday format. Our research shows that for most moms, the week from a scheduling perspective starts on Monday. We designed the planners to work specifically for the lives of moms, so that’s why we are sticking with it!
I am so happy to hear the calendars will return to the front of the book. This year my book has lots of post-it notes hanging out the side because I have to find the months quickly.
I am sorry that you are keeping the Monday-Sunday layout though. It has been difficult for me to successfully transfer information from other calendars into my MomAgenda. Several times, I’ve written something on the wrong day of the week, because I’m used to the days in the traditional arrangement.
Glad to hear you’re keeping the Mon – Sun layout. It’s taken a little bit to get used to, but now I wouldn’t change back.
It’s interesting that the prevailing comments have now led you to revert to your old design. I personally am a fan of the months spread out throughout the book, but I won’t stop buying your planners because you’re switching back.
I feel guilty going against the grain, but i really liked having the months throughout the calendar.
I also loved the months throughout the calender. This is the best part of the agenda for me. This way I don’t have to go looking for the next month at the front of the agenda and then go searching for the week of that month. I do suggest monthly tabs to make it easy for furture planning. I sometimes have to plan two to three months ahead. Right now I use post it notes to write down the months and make it easy for me to access each month. Once the agenda gets changed to the monthly calenders all in the front I will have to do monthly post it notes for that section as well. I am going to have the agenda full of post it notes.
I definitely like the Mon-Sun format that you use. For a mom of school age children and a work from home, telecommuting nurse—this is definitely the way to go. Monthly tabs (very small ones) would be nice, but I use the weekly format the most. I did like the months interspersed, but I guess the “squeaky wheel gets the grease.”
Thank you once again for my very favorite planner ever!
Thank you for changing the monthly calendars back to the way they were. Please change the Sunday’s back to the left side. I can’t tell you how many events were missed or written in the wrong area due to being on the right side. It just doesn’t make sense to have it on the right side – no other calendars match a calendar with Sunday’s on the right and that is why so many dates were inadvertently put in the wrong area.
Thank you for the upcoming format change and going back to the original – can’t wait!
PLEASE go back to a Sunday start date or at least give us a choice of which one to purchase.
I like having the week start on Monday. That way all the weekend information is side by side. I even changed my calendars on my computer to start on Monday. That has helped when using it in conjunction with my planner.
Tina, thanks for your support of our Mon-Sun format! We like it and it is good to know when customers like it too. Great idea changing your calendars on your computer.
Elle, thanks to you as well! We are looking forward to the format change; I personally don’t like having the months interspersed so I am excited as many of our customers! We have never had a Sunday start date on our weekly layouts–only on monthly–and the reason our monthly went to a Sunday start date is so it would be consistent with the weekly.
Laurie-Thanks for your support! See above for comment on the Mon-Sun issue.
Kim-thanks so much!
Cleo and Teri, Thanks for weighing in. Sorry you are not happy about the change. My momAgenda too is filled with post-it notes!
Niki-Thanks to you as well for your positive feedback!
Kathy-Thanks for writing, see above for the reasons for the changes.
Heather, thanks for the great idea, and I agree with you it is easier to have Sat and Sun together.
To anonymous and justshajam, thanks for the feedback, we do appreciate it.
Shelley, thanks for your support!
Tammy, Thanks for the positive feedback, we love it!
Michelle, Thanks to you too for the positive feedback!

I just want to congratulate you on a great line of products! I’m a fan of the mini as I can fit it in all my purses. I also like that the monthly calendars will go back to the front of the agenda (still, I’m so loyal to your brand I managed to adjust to their being dispersed throughout).
For future editions, I guess the consensus is for adding tabs. I currently use a combination of your steel mini pins and those hard post it flags that you can write in to mark the months and different sections. Maybe integrated pockets could be worked in too!
I’m happy with either layout of the calendar, but since your customer base keeps on growing strong, maybe for the 2010 agendas (production cost permitting), you might be able to offer choices on the calendar layout, as mentioned by Elle on her March 6th post.
I look forward to getting the 2009 agenda, congrats again!
I am really exited about the new stuff coming soon. I am thinking about switching to the 3 ring planner but it will also depend on color choices, hope it comes in purple, can’t wait. Love the Mon-Sun plan, to me the week always started on monday and not sunday and it is great to have them side by side…thanks
I am very happy I discovered this line of products. I am a college student (not a mom yet) and really like the way the agenda helps you become organized and stay that way! Only complaint is there should be a discount for back to school (aug sept). 35 dollars is a bit expensive when you have to pay thousands to go to school. I love the metallic colors btw!!
