The other day on Facebook I posted a picture of my 11 year old daughter’s myAgenda hack. She actually used one of the satin ribbons to tie a pen to her myAgenda! And the little bow she made with the ribbon was just perfect! Words cannot express how touched I feel that my daughter has clearly taken after me in so many ways, but I digress. (If you’d like to see the picture, go to our facebook page, link is below, and while you are there, please become a fan of momAgenda!)
It got me thinking that many of you have emailed or facebooked me about changes (or as we call them here, hacks) you have made to your momAgenda day planners and folios. You have attached folders, zipper pouches, and pens, not to mention using certain pages in different ways than how they were intended. We want to know about your hacks, because maybe they can help us design better products in the future!
So tell me: what is your momAgenda product hack? Feel free to submit a hack to any of our products, including day planners and folios.
The winner will not be randomly selected; it will be the momAgenda staff favorite. We will give away a momAgenda or myAgenda Desktop to the winner (your choice of color)!!!!! Feel free to attach a photo as well!
We will choose a winner in exactly 1 week, on Friday, September 25. Good luck all…..

Since I only have 3 kids I always use the 4th spot for my husbands schedule so I know if he is going to be home for dinner or not. I also add a little note pad in the front pocket for making quick lists to grab and go. I LOVE the idea of attaching a pen to one of the ribbons since I always just kept a pen in the current week.
I remember when I first got my momagenda last year…I was so excited with all the pages in the back, like the gift log, goals, health, and restaurants. These were pages I had to “hack” into my older planners. The pages are so helpful and I use most of them….however I guess we all tweak things to fit our lives. I added adhesive(but removable)tabs (This Week, This Month, and Next Month) to help me quickly get to the pages I need for scheduling appointments. I also pasted a print-out of my most frequently called numbers to the front cover. But the “HACK” that would really help me is a page after every month to list out my goals and achievements. Ideally one page for each. At the end of every month, I like to go back and reflect on what I got done and set priorities and hopes for the next month. SInce I started doing this three years ago…I have been able to accomplish so much more. I list everything…even the books I read. It reminds me of the many roles I have in this world besides my most important one …and this keeps me a little saner. I have been doing this on a seperate sheet of paper and just folding them between the appropriate pages but I would love a more permanent solution.
I like to devote the last page of the lined pieces of paper to holiday cards. Everytime a Christmas or Hannukah card comes in I write it down so it is right there when I am doing next years cards.
Having only two children, I have two extra spaces that are blank. I use one to keep up with my husband, some would say he constitutes as my third child, but this really helps since he is on call every 3rd week and is out of town alot. The other blank spot is used for our family dog. I can keep up with all her meds and vet appts. I have also attached an adhesive business card holder for my “mom cards” making them accesible to hand out to other moms.
I only have 2 children, so like the reader above, I use one spot for my husband’s schedule but then I use the last spot for any quick little to do that I HAVE to get done that day.
I actually use the 4 spaces to jot notes at the end of my days to remember the funny things my kids did and said that day so I can remember them. When I get time I then wirte my jot notes in journals to give to my kids when they get older. The MomAgenda was EXACTLY what I was looking for to act as a planner and give me the space to write my notes.
