I am absolutely obsessed with reading what are popularly known as the "mommy blogs." And it is not just because it is my job to read them. I am consistently blown away by the women in the blogging community who are so talented and insightful and funny and irreverent. These women inspire me every day to be better at my job. And I really wish they had been around before I started my job, when I was home with my young kids and really could have used some advice/feeling of community/a good laugh now and then from another adult.
If you are not familiar with these sites yet, here are a few starting points...
Babble.com recently compiled a list of the "Top 50 Mommy Bloggers" which you can find here.
In response to Babble's list, Liz Gumbinner, blogger-extraordinaire over at mom-101 created another list of fabulous mommy bloggers who are not as well known, which you can find here.
If you want to check out a whole bunch of mom-oriented sites, you can always look at the listings in the "mom" category at Alltop, which is here.
That is just the beginning... next I will post a list of some of my personal favorites...
