My fiance and I have been together for almost 5 years. We don't do the typical Valentine's Day date. I am currently 35weeks pregnant and will probably be the last Valentine's day we will have together alone in a long time. Since I am always exhausted in the evening I am opting out for the typical dinner date. Instead, I want to go to a brunch buffet at my favorite seafood restaurant on the Seattle Waterfront called Ivar's. It'll be during the day and I can get my fix of clam chowder. That's all I want for Valentine's day. Simple.

What I want for Valentine's Day is to wish my daughter and future son-in-law a great life together far into the future. They are getting married on Valentine's Day. A happy marriage is the greatest gift I could receive.

Valentine's Day represents, for me, a new beginning--it's when I got engaged five years ago, and around when my younger son was conceived (two years ago) and my older son was born (eighteen years ago!). What I'd love for Valentine's Day this year is some quality time with my family--time to spend with my three guys (sons and hubby) laughing and playing in the snow, or celebrating Chinese New Year by eating Dim Sum (which is on Valentine's Day this year). A perfect gift would be some time with my husband to talk and dream, to cuddle (I love it!).

I want to go home from the hospital. I had a thyroidectomy because I have thyroid cancer and I've had a lot of complications since. I miss being home with my kids and I'm ready for life to get back to normal.
