Do You Use A Mobile Device?

March 1, 2010 11:59 AM

This weekend, someone asked me why I have a Blackberry. Actually, his exact words were, "Why do you have one of those, because it makes you feel important or something?" Um, whatever... the truth is, I could not live the life I am living without my Blackberry.
You might be surprised at me saying that, giving that I am President of a business that makes day planners, the very antithesis of mobile devices. Well, for one thing, I could not live my life without my momAgenda either (duh!). In addition, I use them for different things. My momAgenda is for scheduling, notes, and contact info. My Blackberry is for phone calls and emails and texts.
The most important reason for using a Blackberry, from my point of view, is that it allows me to do my job while being a mom. I can answer emails on the soccer field sidelines or the school pickup line, and no one know I am not in the office. I can fulfill the responsibilities of my dual roles without sacrificing either.
How about you? Do you use a mobile device in addition to your momAgenda?

DEFINITELY!!!! I got my Blackberry so I can send and receive emails with my children's teachers and so I can text my 14 year old son.
My momAgenda is my life! I have to physically write things down on paper in order to get them in my head. Without paper and pencil/pen, I would be lost.

AMEN! I'm tired of the snotty looks from people and comments that I couldn't possibly have any reason to own a blackberry when I'm "just a Mom!" I use my MomAgenda for the schedules of my 4 children (I joke that we couldn't have another because there wasn't another block in my planner) and my blackberry for my email, phone calls, texting my teenagers and the occasional Facebook break. I'm looking at getting an IPhone in the near future......any MomAgenda apps?

I L-O-V-E my Momagenda. I am actually on my 4th one. I honestly don't know how I lived life without it. I did just get an iphone for Valentines day and I am REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hoping that Momagenda will come out with an app. I can see how much more useful my phone could become if I had the oppertunity to incorperate my Momagenda.

ABSOLUTELY! I've heard the same comment as I have a Blackberry, in addition to my momAgenda! I don't have an office job...I'm a full time Mom....Because I'm running all over at all different times, I need my momAgenda to keep me organized as to who I need to take where at what time and all the things I need to get done. But, when I'm out running around doing these things, I, too, need to check my e-mails and respond to teachers and parents and anything else that comes up during the day. I also use it to keep up with my friends quickly on Twitter and Facebook, and to make phone calls.

I use my iPhone to stay connected with my email , phone & work when I'm out of my home office - keep my life color coded. I use my Mom agenda to schedule my life - kids, hubby, my business & everything else. Some may say it is over kill, having a planner & iPhone, I say it keeps me sane! I am organized because I have these, some one just called me a Rock Star last week because I homeschool my kids , have a home business + volunteer in my community... I smiled and nodded :) thinking I'm not a rock star, I'm just organized... Thanks to my mom agenda & electronic device!

Absolutely. I personally have an iPhone, but same concept. I love my All in One Folio to keep my calendar, notes, and important information all in one place. I still like to actually see those things all on one page in front of me without having to manipulate the screen. But agreed, for text, email and phone I need my iPhone. Plus, all the apps keep my kids happy in the car. Since I'm not at a desk all day, I probably use it MORE than someone who has a computer and phone right next to them all day. And no, I don't feel more important, just more productive and happier.
