My dear friend (I’ll refer to her as M. to protect the innocent) came in to the office for a visit today with her myAgenda:

For me, this brought back painful memories of my trip to Italy this summer. At the time, my close college friend Angelica showed me her “planner,” which consisted of a stack of loose papers held together by as binder clip. This is the sort of thing that gives me nightmares… how can you feel organized and in control when your whole life is held together by a binder clip? But I digress.
Despite M.’s cries of “But I AM organized!,” I immediately dragged her into our product room for an organization makeover. Believe me when I tell you I tried to sell her nearly every item we make, because with 4 kids under 11, she needs it ALL.
She went home with the following:
- Home Office Edition to leave at home
- myAgenda Original size to carry in her purse
- Pockets (small size) for her new myAgenda
No makeover is complete without “after” photos, so M. has promised to send them as soon as she gets settled in with her new items. I can’t wait!

I tried having two planners – the mini that I carried with me and my personal portfolio version – which was already its second cover, but very big and heavy to carry around – I found that the time that it took to copy everything over was not worth having one on my desk in my office, something was always left out of one or the other – when I switched mid year to only the mini it worked much more efficiently.
So I am wondering what tips you gave your friend for maintaining two planners concurrently -
Thanks!
I too would like to see what comments you have for maintaining 2 agendas. I’m trying this at home to keep the calendar up to date. Any secrets would be greatly appreciated. Can’t wait to see the after photos and hear the feedback.
