This tip is especially helpful for parents of younger kids. When my kids were preschool age there was a lot of complaining about the dinner menu; this is possibly because I have 4 kids, and it’s hard to get 4 kids to agree on anything! My solution was to start planning dinner in advance and posting it on a small chalkboard in our kitchen. We actually set up a weekly dinner routine: spaghetti and meatballs on Mondays, roast chicken on Tuesdays, etc. This really helped reduce the complaining in our house, because the kids knew what was coming each night.
As my kids have gotten older they have started requesting more variety in their dinners, but when they were little, this tip was a lifesaver.
