Holiday Gift Ideas for Family Members

Holiday Gift Ideas for Family Members

The following is a guest post from momAgendaCOMM blogger Kris Cain.

Thanksgiving is upon us already, can you believe it? This means that it is time to start thinking about cooking dinner, holiday decorating, and most of all…Christmas gifts! As a parent, we try to make the holiday special for our children. And if you have extended family, you probably try to give a token of appreciation for them as well.

But, what should you give? For some it may be easy.

As your kids watch television chances are they let out a few “Ooohs… and Ahhhs!” followed by “I want one of those” when seeing a commercial for the hottest new toys. Yes, kids are usually easy to buy for.

But, what about your husband?  What about your parents?

There are a few gifts that any adult in your life would love to receive. Helpful gifts, thoughtful gifts, useful gifts, and of course, everyone loves a good tech gift.

I like to make a list of all of my gift ideas, and then a shopping list to make sure that I do not forget anything. The momAgenda List Pads make this so easy!

Here are a couple of ideas to make an adult in your life smile for Christmas:

1.     7” Tablet Computer: With the recent launch of the iPad Mini, many people might be thinking about getting one for someone in their life for Christmas. If that fits your budget, that’s great. The iPad mini is beautiful at $329. But more budget conscious shoppers might not want to spend that much. In my opinion, the Google Nexus 7 is a better buy in my opinion. At only $199 for the 16gb version you get a 7” tablet that will allow you to check email, watch Netflix, keep up with social media, and much more. The Nexus 7 is an awesome gift for an adult, teen, or even preteen.

2.     Spa Gift Card: Everyone, men and women alike should appreciate good pampering. Grooming is important. And relaxation is an essential part to relieving stress. Working, family life, and the economy are all stressful. Think about someone who would truly need to relax and treat them. Sites like Spa Finder let you send a spa gift card that the recipient can redeem at their favorite or most convenient spa location.

3.     Netflix Membership: You might think that everyone has Netflix by now, but many don’t. Think about treating someone you love to a membership. It will cost you only $8 or so a month and they will stay entertained.

Of course this list could go on and on. There are so many gift ideas out there. Gadgets, gift cards, and much more. There is always something that someone in your life will appreciate.

What are you planning to get your loved ones for Christmas?
