Three Easy Ways to Bring Color & Style to Your Home Décor

The following is a guest post from momAgendaCOMM blogger Maria Stanley.

There are so many easy ways to decorate your home in a colorful way that reflects your personality. All three of the following suggestions can be done at a variety of price points so everyone can infuse some color into their current decor.

1. Paint: One of the easiest ways to bring color into your home is to use paint. Paint can be used to change the entire look of a room in the matter of a few hours. Don’t want to spend that much time? Consider painting the ceiling a really cool color instead, or painting a pattern on the existing wall color. Still too much commitment? Then change up a piece of furniture and make it your own by using paint. Painting the back of bookshelves, for example, makes a great impact with little effort.

2. Pillows: Pillows are a great, affordable way to accessorize a room and brings in pops of color. You can find gorgeous pillows at great prices online on sites like Etsy and in stores. If you’re crafty, then make your own! With little financial commitment, you can really add some personality to each room in your home. Once you get tired of a certain look, just remove the cover and replace it! Pillows look great in groups and best when they’re not too “matchy-matchy.”

3. Art & Accessories: Another easy way to introduce color in your home is through art and your accessories. Add a punch of color with colorful souvenirs from your travels. Need something for your walls? Pick up an exhibit print from a museum or even framed posters look great when hung in the right spot. Why not buy a big blank canvas, give your kids some paints in your color scheme and let them create a memorable masterpiece?

Incorporating color into your space, no matter which method you choose, will help you to create a home filled with style and personality!
